Gourmet food event Savour enjoys warm reception from diners

Back for its third year, gourmet food event Savour is proving to be a warmly received highlight of Singapore's dining calendar.
Its first lunch session of the weekend drew many hungry diners to The Promontory at Marina Bay where it is held. The crowd however, was well-managed and queues moved briskly.
Famed Hong Kong chef Alvin Leung was among the chefs whose stalls drew a steady line of diners and his molecular xiao long bao dish sold out halfway during lunch.
Diners interviewed were happy with the quality of cooking and enjoyed the convivial spirit with some posing for pictures with chefs. A common gripe though was the heat at the outdoor venue, which offered little shade from the harsh midday sun.
