At least one person walks out of The Holycoaster S(hit) Circus every time it is staged.

The name of this provocative mockumentary-cabaret should give you a hint as to its theatrical inclinations.

But its creators from the Swiss-German theatre group PENG! Palast and Israel's Machol Shalem Dance House would rather have a negative reaction to their confrontational work than none at all.

Dennis Schwabenland, 29, the Germany-born co-founder of PENG! Palast, laughs: "It really splits the audience. But I think that's a good sign that it's not mediocre."
