The late Ellice Handy's cookbook has been a home cook must-have and fans of her traditional recipes can now pick up the 11th edition of the relaunched title Ellice Handy: My Favourite Recipes.

The 308-page book published by Landmark Books features 300 recipes ranging from chap chye lemak and curried prawns to scones, and includes both colonial weight and metric measurements.

This cookbook joins the line-up of other recently launched local cookbooks - Asian Larder by freelance writer Sylvia Tan, and Mummy, It's Yummy by sisters Lena Tan and Cindy Liu, as well as Ask The Foodie: Kitchen Knowhow Explained by food writer Chris Tan.

Asian Larder demystifies a variety of Asian ingredients - from sauces to herbs and nuts - and also includes recipes on how to use the produce.
