Buy SPH photosSingapore's design scene just got a little bigger, as Europe's largest design-and-lifestyle show Maison & Objet comes to town next year.
The bi-annual design trade fair makes its debut here March 10 to 13, 2014. About 150 exhibitors will display wares such as furniture, linen, fragrance and even jewellery.
Mr Philippe Brocart, 49, managing director of organisers Salons Francais Et Internationaux, says Singapore was an obvious location in Asia.
The Frenchman, in town to announce early details of the show, says that between two potential cities of Hong Kong and Singapore, "Singapore was the choice for us, because it is really the ideal platform to do business".
