Eason Chan and wife deny role in drug scandal

Hong Kong - Singer Eason Chan and his wife, former actress Hilary Tsui, have soundly refuted stories of her role in a growing drug scandal.

Holding hands, the couple went to the Hong Kong Press Council yesterday to make a complaint about negative reports linking Tsui to a video that supposedly shows celebrities doing drugs in a restaurant, said NetEase news website.

The couple, both 38, also sent out a statement rebutting the reports.

It said Tsui never participated in any "psychedelic dinner" at the restaurant Yiping Huadiao Chicken, but she did celebrate a friend's birthday there in October last year.
