The warm glow of Iron Man's arc reactor and cold blade of Batman's Batarangs have a new place to call home - Singapore.

Local toy company Play Imaginative has obtained the rights from American entertainment companies DC Comics, home to Batman and Superman, and Marvel Comics, home to Iron Man, to make detailed and highly posable 12-inch (30cm) figurines based on their iconic superhero characters.

Instead of using plastic and cloth materials to make these high end figures, which are common in toy manufacturing, the company, which makes the toys in China, will use die-cast metal for their creations.

Dubbed Super Alloy, 80 per cent of these posable figures will be made with metal, while other parts, like joints and capes, will be made with plastic and cloth.
