Daughters of celebrated winemaker carry on his legacy
The three Rocca sisters - Daniela, 41, Monica, 38, and Paola, 30, fourth-generation owners of Barbaresco winery Albino Rocca, have vowed to continue their father's wine legacy now that he is no longer with them.
Their father, celebrated winemaker Angelo Rocca, died last month in a plane crash near Alessandria in the Piedmont region. He was piloting his own light aircraft at the time. The reason for the accident is not known.
Shocked and saddened, but recognising that their father's legacy must go on, the eldest daughter, Daniela, decided to honour her father's commitment, and is in town to participate in the inaugural wine festival Vintner's Tour 2012.
It is on from tomorrow till Sunday at Capella Singapore on Sentosa.
