Crystal Jade restaurant brand still sparkles since opening in 1991

In Singapore's crowded Chinese restaurant scene, a handful stand out.

One of them is Crystal Jade Culinary Concepts, a well-known restaurant brand synonymous with consistent and reliable Chinese fare here.

The restaurant group's 49 outlets in Singapore are an indication of its popularity.

While many diners might be familiar with the chain's food offerings, which includes everything from dim sum and porridge to roast meats and xiao long bao, they may be less familiar with the man behind the privately-held group - Hong Konger Mr Ip Yiu Tung, the group's chief executive and chairman.
