Fresh-faced unknown Jae Liew, 22, had "no expectations" about her audition, but she was "surprisingly not nervous" at all throughout the entire session.

Liew, a communications graduate from Australia's Murdoch University, had just been cast as the female lead in actress-turned-director Michelle Chong's new movie 3 Peas In A Pod.

The sweet-looking Liew was chosen out of more than 800 hopefuls who turned up at two-day open auditions held here last month. All audition participants were required to act out a 10-line script, and then cry on the spot.

Liew says: "I was actually not that nervous. I just went in and kept my focus on what I was doing. I was actually more concerned about not screwing up, so there was no time to feel nervous.
