Classics re-booted in next year's Huayi festival, tickets start Friday
Classics get re-interpreted in next year's Huayi, Esplanade's annual Chinese festival of the arts.
These range from a minimalist Chinese production of the Greek tragedy Antigone to a Mandarin version of Twelve Angry Men by a newly set-up Singaporean theatre company.
The festival runs from Feb 15 to 24 next year. Ticket sales start this Friday.
The crowd-pleaser will probably be Awakening, Edward Lam's all-women musical theatre version of the Chinese literary classic, Dream Of The Red Chamber.
