China author to release new book after Nobel win
BEIJING (AFP) - A new collection of plays by Mo Yan will be released next week following the Chinese author's Nobel Literature Prize success, a report said, citing the work's publisher.
The new work, Our Jing Ke, consists of three plays, according to Chen Liming, from publisher Beijing Genuine and Profound Culture Development Company, state news agency Xinhua reported on late Friday.
Our Jing Ke is one of the plays, and is an adaptation of a story about an assassin's failed attempt to kill a king who went on to become China's first emperor nearly 2,000 years ago, the report said.
He did not give details of the other two plays, Farewell to My Concubine and Wife of the Boiler Worker.
