California fall/winter for Michael Kors
NEW YORK (AFP) - Billionaire New York designer Michael Kors mixed California ease with urbane romance, unveiling on Wednesday a soft, laid-back collection for fall/winter 2014 in front of Hollywood stars.
Actresses Blake Lively and Freida Pinto sat front row next to silver screen legend Michael Douglas as models powered down the runway in floaty blouses and full skirts, diaphanous chiffon and fringed sweaters.
Kors, who entered the industry stratosphere after listing his company on Wall Street in 2011, was one of the biggest draws of New York Fashion Week, which comes to a close on Thursday.
He described his collection as a "blend of urban polish with laid back northern California ease" and as "urbane romance".
