Businesses spruce up their spaces with industrial design
It has a safe, steady and somewhat boring name: Durasafe. And its products are staid: industrial safety equipment. But the local company's showroom is anything but.
Pop into Durasafe's warehouse in Pandan Loop and you might think that you have stepped into a stylish boutique clothing store.
The showroom consists of a two-storey, scaffold-like structure, done up in an industrial-chic theme that includes pulley chains, a conveyor belt and watertight bulkhead doors.
"Our showroom is just like a boutique clothing store but it still had to have an industrial look and feel," says Durasafe boss Jefferson Soh, who spent more than $500,000 doing up the store.
