Bumper crop of concerts in first quarter of 2013, more to be announced

More than 70 acts playing at major concerts in the first quarter of 2013 have been confirmed so far.

They range from those performing for the first time here, including indie rockers Bloc Party and electronic-pop singer Ellie Goulding to returning acts such as evergreen favourites Santana and Cliff Richard.

And pop fans will be happy - on the Asian scene, nearly 20 such gigs are definites so far.

Then there are the multi-act festivals, spearheaded by the big annual ones including the Esplanade's Mosaic - tickets for which start selling on Dec 6 - and the third edition of indie extravaganza Laneway as well as Big Night Out.
