British actress Kate O'Mara, Dynasty star, dead at 74

LONDON (AFP) - British actress Kate O'Mara, who starred in hit US soap opera Dynasty in the 1980s, died on Sunday at the age of 74, her agent said.
O'Mara was famous for playing Cassandra "Caress" Morrell, the scheming sister to Joan Collins' Alexis Colby in Dynasty.
O'Mara died this morning in a nursing home in Sussex, southeastern England, after a short illness, her agent Phil Belfield said.
"She was extraordinary, she had so much energy and vitality with a love for theatre and acting," Belfield added.
