The long dry spell followed by rain has proven to be a boon for the trees around Singapore. Many have burst into bloom and the flowers are a honey trap for shutterbugs.

The National Parks Board has even started a little competition on its Facebook page (www.facebook.com/nparksbuzz), asking photographers to share their shots.

The Straits Times Picture Desk has put together some pictures taken while our photographers were out and about. ST readers have also contributed some pictures taken around their neighbourhood.
