Acclaimed English indie band Bloc Party are set to perform at Fort Gate, Fort Canning Park on March 18.

It will be the quartet's first show in Singapore, although frontman Kele Okereke, guitarist Russell Lissack and drummer Matt Tong have helmed DJ sets here. The band also comprise bassist Gordon Moakes.

Limited early-bird tickets at $98 will go on sale on Nov 12 via Sistic, after which the price will be $115. Tickets at the show venue will cost $135.

The London band's 2005 debut Silent Alarm was critically and commercially well received. British music rag NME named it Album Of The Year while American music magazine Rolling Stone proclaimed it one of the best debuts of 2005.
