Beach party favourite ZoukOut opens with a bang
The 13th edition of dance music festival ZoukOut got off to a roaring start on Friday night with a crowd of 15,000 revellers. By 9.30pm, deejays Otto Knows, Nervo and Benga got the crowd fist-pumping to their beats.
But it was headliner DJ Afrojack who brought the energy up with his club anthems and new tracks.
Ms Angel Briones, 28, whose friend flew in from the Philippines for the party, was attending ZoukOut for the first time. She said: "We love to go for music festivals back in the Philippines, but this is way better because we get so many amazing international deejays together. This won't be my last ZoukOut."
Day one ends at 5am on Saturday morning, while day two runs for 12 hours from 8pm on Saturday night. Organisers expect 26,000 party-goers to turn up for the second day, which features headliners Danny Avila from Spain and Dash Berlin from the Netherlands.
