Local designers will take the spotlight at this year's Audi Fashion Festival (AFF).

Where international designers previously dominated the show schedule, there will only be two this year - veteran American designer Oscar de la Renta and Nepalese-American Prabal Gurung.

The event, which will be held from May 14 to 18, will see the largest number of homegrown labels - Ashley Isham, Ong Shunmugam, hansel, Saturday and Exhibit - having their own shows. At last year's festival, the only local labels who had their own solo shows were Raoul, Zardoze and Ashley Isham. It was previously more common for local labels to be grouped together to showcase their collections as part of a bigger show. For example, Ong Shunmugam was showcased together with Japanese designer Jun Okamoto last year.

Last year, there were four international designers showing their collections: Carolina Herrera, Hussein Chalayan, Peter Pilotto and Collette Dinnigan.
