The art-filled week that was drew a who's who roster of artists to Singapore.

Taking a break from their busy schedules and exhibition openings to talk art were Japan's Hiroshi Sugimoto, Indonesia's Jumaldi Alfi and China's Geng Jianyi.

They were some of the top names in town for their exhibition openings as well as for Art Stage Singapore.

At a time when technology is dominant in photography, it is the mystery of the box camera and the beauty of unhurried finishes that keep renowned Japanese photographer and contemporary artist Hiroshi Sugimoto going.
