All grown up, singer Joss Stone is no longer a crybaby and calls the shots in her career
Older and wiser, English soul singer Joss Stone says she no longer cries before going on stage to perform, and can spot bad people from a mile away.
Recalling those early days starting out as a fresh-faced 15-year-old performing shows, Stone, 25, says: "I was so nervous, I cried before the show. I kind of wiped my eyes and went out and sang the songs, and the whole time i had my head down, hair over my face."
"At the end of the gig I cried again, I'd say, 'Oh my god, it was horrible, I'm terrible.' That went on for a good two years, but now I'm fine."
She was talking to Life! in an interview at Fairmont Hotel before her sold-out show at the Esplanade tomorrow for the Mosaic Music Festival
