Ah Tai Hainanese Chicken Rice re-opens after licence suspension

After getting its licence suspended for two weeks, Ah Tai Hainanese Chicken Rice - owned by a former employee of Tian Tian Hainanese Chicken Rice two doors down in Maxwell Food Centre - re-opened yesterday.

According to the National Environment Agency's advisory on its website, the stall was suspended for two weeks from Dec 19.

It had accumulated 12 demerit points over the last 12 months.

The two offences, which warranted six demerit points each, were for "failing to keep licensed premises free from pest infestation" and "selling food which is unclean".
