Director Jack Neo's Ah Boys To Men 2 is now the top-grossing local movie of all time. It has earned $6.297 million as of Feb 19 and is still showing in cinemas.

The second instalment of Neo's national service rites-of-passage tale beat the first part's takings of $6.213 million to become the new local box-office champion.

Part 1 opened last November and the follow-up has been in cinemas since Feb 1.

The films have been so successful that a third part of the army national service tale could be in the works, says Neo at a Chinese New Year celebratory luncheon for the movie on Wednesday.
