Starbucks to open first India store in October
MUMBAI, India (AP) - Starbucks says it will open its first store in India by the end of October in an upscale Mumbai neighbourhood.
The store will be in Mumbai's Horniman Circle district, which already boasts an Hermes store. It will feature coffee sourced locally, through an arrangement with Tata Coffee.
Starbucks is operating in India through a 50-50 joint venture with Tata Global Beverages, called Tata Starbucks.
