ISLAMABAD (AFP) - Pakistan has appointed a judicial commission to probe the death of an officer investigating corruption allegations against Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf.

Mr Kamran Faisal was found dead on Friday in the hostel where he lived in Islamabad with colleagues from anti-corruption watchdog the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

Officials say he is suspected of committing suicide, but members of his family have reportedly raised suspicions about bruises on his body.

"The commission will be headed by retired supreme court judge justice Javed Iqbal and will submit its report in two weeks," Interior Minister Rehman Malik told reporters late Sunday.
