BEIJING (AFP) - Vice Premier Li Keqiang was promoted within the Chinese Communist Party's top power circle on Thursday in a move widely expected to lead to his appointment as the country's premier in March.
The promotion of Mr Li, reported by state media, to manage day-to-day administration of the world's second-largest economy was all but confirmed by his elevation to the number two spot in the party's Politburo Standing Committee.
