NEW DELHI (AFP) - Three more male suspects were arrested Friday over the gang-rape of a Danish tourist that has renewed the spotlight on sexual violence in India, bringing the total number held to six.

The Danish victim was raped and robbed when she apparently approached a group of men for directions.

"Two more persons have been arrested in connection with the rape case with the Danish national and one juvenile apprehended," police spokesman Rajan Bhagat said in an emailed statement.

One of the men, aged around 20, was arrested in the tourist district in New Delhi where the assault on the 51-year-old victim occurred while the other, aged 24, was taken into custody in another part of the capital, Bhagat said.
