Chinese bloggers scorn Japan election result, blasting anti-Abe comments
BEIJING (AP) - Chinese bloggers have reacted with scorn to the election victory of Japan's conservative Liberal Democratic Party.
Many are concentrating their fire on prospective Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, widely known for his hardline China views.
The LDP swept to victory on Sunday, giving Mr Abe what is almost certain to be a second shot at running the country.
On Monday, Chinese micro-blog sites were full of anti-Abe comments, with some calling for a boycott of Japanese goods after Mr Abe was reported in post-election comments to have called for a tougher line over a series of Japanese controlled islets that are disputed between the sides.
