UK woman jailed for making false rape claim
(THE KOREA HERALD/ASIA NEWS NETWORK) - A 20-year-old British woman was sentenced Monday to two years in prison for falsely claiming that she had been raped by three men, according to local news reports.
Rosie Dodd pleaded guilty to perverting the course of justice and was sent to prison by Nottingham Crown Court after she lied to police that three men had raped her at her house in June 2011.
The men, aged 21, 23, and 25, were charged with rape, and spent nearly 50 hours behind bars before being released on bail. They claimed that their sex with Dodd was consensual.
After further investigating the case however, police grew suspicious of Dodd's accounts.
