(THE KOREA HERALD/ASIA NEWS NETWORK) - A 5-year-old Russian girl who had been living with cow herd and can only communicate through mooing noises was rescued recently, according to Russian media.
The unnamed child was found by police after a tip off by a neighbour at Solikamsk district in the Ural Mountains. The neighbour told the officials that there was a little girl living with cows at a farm run by the girl's parents.
Police checked the farm and found that the girl was living in a cowshed with livestock. The girl was unable to speak, and prefers to drink milk from a saucepan rather than to eat in a proper manner.
The girl's mother and stepfather allegedly forced the girl to stay with the animals because they did not want to take care of her. She had also been locked in a storage room from time to time.
