Nigerian claims trial in rape case of underage Singaporean

JOHOR BARU (THE STAR/ASIA NEWS NETWORK) - A Nigerian accused of raping an underaged Singaporean girl claimed trial at a Sessions Court here today.

Eneh Solomon Udo, 40, was charged with raping the girl on the stairs of an apartment along Jalan Titiwangsa 1, Tampoi on Oct 9.

The accused, a student at a private language centre in Selangor, pleaded not guilty to the charge read before judge Zamri Bakar.

If convicted, he is liable to a jail term of up to 20 years and whipping.
