Man drinks poison as wife refuses to let him marry another

(THE STAR/ASIA NEWS NETWORK) - A distraught elderly man took a drastic step by consuming poison after his wife refused to let him take another wife.

The 68-year-old man drank a bottle of insecticide at his home in Paya Terubong, Air Itam, two days ago and was now in critical condition, reported Kosmo!

Several family members who were at home at the time of the incident were shocked to find the man unconscious and rushed him to Hospital Pulau Pinang.

George Town OCPD Asst Comm Gan Kong Meng said the man remained in critical condition.
