KUALA LUMPUR (THE STAR/ASIA NEWS NETWORK) - Barisan Nasional leaders should be brave in going down to the ground to fight for the people's welfare despite facing various challenges, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said.
"Do not be afraid, do not be afraid to go into the ring, this is the spirit we must have," he said when opening the Gerakan national delegates conference on Sunday.
He said the time had come for Gerakan to be more offensive and not be afraid to change, especially in recapturing Penang from the DAP, thus ensuring more development to be implemented for the people.
Mr Najib, who is Barisan chairman, said bravery was the spirit of a real fighter. "Show our strength, we must have the spirit to fight, fight when you are in adversity," he stressed.
