PETALING JAYA (THE STAR/ASIA NEWS NETWORK) - Hundreds of office workers were late for work after a burst pipe caused a massive traffic jam at the Templer roundabout on Thursday.

The burst pipe caused part of the road to sink. Most were heading to the New Pantai Expressway (NPE) via Jalan Othman and Jalan Gasing.

A police spokesman said the pipe burst at about 6.45am forcing the police to close the road leading to NPE from Jalan Gasing. All vehicles were diverted from the roundabout to the Federal Highway to get access into the NPE.

Syabas workers were seen carrying out repairs to part of the affected road that had caved in due to the gushing water.
