The new Tower Wing at Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore has emerged with a rejuvenated look and interior on 16 May 2017.
Guests are welcome to return to the iconic Tower Wing to enjoy an all-new Shangri-La experience. Despite having undergone a significant makeover, the Tower Wing maintains all the warmth and luxury one can expect of a Shangri-La Hotel.
The new wing provides an experience that has been specially crafted to ensure that all guests, whether on a leisurely vacation with family or a business trip, will find a home away from home.
With a brand new look and whole host of facilities, there is a lot to see and do at the iconic hotel.
Here are some of the wonderful sights and experiences that await you at the new Tower Wing:
The Grand Lobby
Stepping into the Tower Wing’s rejuvenated lobby, you will be greeted with an awe-inspiring ceiling art installation.
The tree canopy-inspired installation comes as the brainchild of seasoned Japanese designer Hirotoshi Sawada, who imparts her trademark style of fusing elegance and movement in nature.
Thousands of stylised leaves cascade from the ceiling in a classy display reminiscent of nature’s grand sweeping canopies.
The lift lobby further in features gorgeous architecture touched with a hint of Peranakan design elements.
Luxurious New Rooms
With 503 completely refurbished guestrooms and suites, guests can expect to enjoy the finest accommodations.
Among the wide selection of rooms, 360 are Deluxe Rooms, 79 are Horizon Club Deluxe Rooms and five are One-Bedroom Suites. A Grand Suite is also available.
The hotel will soon add family-themed rooms, specifically created for guests to enjoy a cosy family getaway.
The Deluxe Rooms are 38 square metres each, making for luxurious, spacious accommodations. Sleek furnishings, the full range of amenities, glass wardrobes and floor-to-ceiling windows make the rooms a comfortable, stylish retreat.
Guests who choose to reside in the Deluxe Rooms will be spoilt with city and pool views, while those staying in the Horizon Club Rooms will have access to the Horizon Club Lounge on level 24.
Cosy armchairs line the lounge, providing an impressive panorama of the modern city skyline.
Head up to the Horizon Club Lounge at midnight to be dazzled by the city illuminations, or spend a leisurely afternoon enjoying the full view of the bustling city.
Guests are welcome to use the Internet on any of the mobile workstations, enjoy healthy snacks or simply relax – the 24-hour Horizon Club Lounge provides efficient services for both the savvy businessperson and the traveller.
Visitors will find a wide range of food to tantalise the taste buds, regardless of their palate.
Guests will be spoilt for choice at the Lobby Lounge, where a variety of distinctly Singaporean dishes will be served, including Katong Laksa, Hainanese Chicken Rice and Bak Chor Mee.
With a menu co-created by Dr. Leslie Tay, a popular local food writer, and food delicately crafted by Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore’s culinary team in collaboration with hawker masters of each dish, ambrosial experiences await.
The ShopHouse, which is nestled beside the Lobby Lounge, offers homemade sandwiches, salads and snacks, as well as various sweets, pastries and cakes. Conceptualised as a convenient grab-and-go retail eatery, guests can purchase these delectable edibles as they go about their day.
The NAMI Restaurant and Bar on level 24 represents the peak of Japanese fine dining. Guided by the principles of omotenashi, or Japanese hospitality, guests will be wholeheartedly entertained. The open kitchen by the counter allows guests to watch exquisite Japanese delicacies being prepared before their eyes.
At the terrace, you can savour delicious Japanese tapas with a whole range of premium Japanese whisky and sake.
The food is meticulously prepared by culinary teams helmed by chef Akiba Shigeo, who was granted the prestigious honour of cooking at the Japanese royal wedding in 1990.
To express its gratitude to guests and partners, the hotel is also offering an exclusive promotion for Golden Circle (GC) members.
Guests may enjoy the Golden Circle Tower Wing Reopening offer, which includes breakfast at The Line and double the GC Award points, when booking a stay in one of the newly renovated Tower Wing Deluxe Rooms from 16 May to 31 July 2017.
