Australian chef David Thompson is known for his Thai street food fare that he perfected when he was living and working in Bangkok for several years.

Delight in dishes such as kanom jin noodle (thin rice noodles), miang prawn (a snack of prawns wrapped in wild betel leaves and other condiments) and irresistible sweet treats such as black sticky rice pandanus noodles.

Japanese delights

Takumi Yamamoto boasts a sushi bar that offers fish air-flown in daily from Tokyo’s famed Tsukiji market, robata (charcoal grill), ramen and teppanyaki.

The spacious multi-concept restaurant’s delicious and wallet-friendly two- or three-course lunch sets, complete with dessert, include tempura ($38++), kaisen (seafood) ($58++) and the premium beef steak teppan set ($48++).

For just $20++, enjoy a tonkotsu (pork bone) soy ramen prepared in-house with traditional 110-year-old techniques, along with a trio of gyoza (pan-fried dumplings), ice cream and green tea.

Homegrown brand Paradise Group has its roots in a humble 25-seater coffee shop at Defu Lane when Seafood Paradise first started its business in 2002.

Set lunch menus at Seafood Paradise are priced at $22.80++ each. Choose a main dish and complete your meal with a set of three side dishes.

The main options include creamy butter tiger prawns spaghetti, supreme seafood fried rice and its signature chilli crab spaghetti, while the sides include scallop with minced garlic, steamed oyster in spicy sauce and steamed bamboo clams with minced garlic.

Add $5++ to your choice of food to make it a set, with soup of the day and a beverage — choose from Sanpellegrino Sparkling Fruit Beverage, Acqua Panna or S.Pellegrino Water.

You can also pick your type of pasta and pair it with your favourite sauce.
