Politically charged HK rally today

Tens of thousands of people are expected to gather in Hong Kong today for a political rally marking the 19th anniversary of the territory's handover by Britain to China. The annual event is seen as a barometer of public discontent after a Hong Kong bookseller, known for selling gossipy titles about Beijing politicians, claimed he was kept in a cell, blindfolded and interrogated by Chinese agents.

Photo exhibition at TTSH

Ren Ci Hospital will launch an inaugural photo exhibition at Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) today, the result of a collaboration with @instaSG. Members of the community group of Singapore Instagramers had visited the Ren Ci Nursing Home in Moulmein and taught the residents the basics of capturing moments through lens. After the launch, the showcase will move to Square 2 mall in Novena and Ren Ci Community Hospital in Irrawaddy Road.

Private home and HDB resale prices

Flash estimates for prices of private homes and Housing Board resale flats in the second quarter are due out today. Experts tip a slower rate of decline for private housing due to strong sales in the core central region of late, while HDB resale prices should continue to stabilise.
