Counter-terrorism conference in Bali

Indonesia will host an international conference on counter-terrorism cooperation today, with representatives from 35 countries and nine international organisations expected to attend. Home Affairs and Law Minister K. Shanmugam will attend the two-day meeting in Bali with a Singapore delegation. He will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Home Affairs.


Lessons to improve retail practices

A course on best retail practices will be launched today, to help retailers improve their businesses in a challenging economic environment.

At the event, the Singapore Productivity Centre and Boston Consulting Group - which are behind the course - will also sign a memorandum of understanding.


Flood of quarterly numbers

A slew of financial results will flood the market in the next three days as the quarterly reporting season for most companies comes to an end this week. Singtel, Thai Beverage, City Developments, ST Engineering and ComfortDelGro Corp are among the large-capitalised companies that have yet to release their quarterly numbers.
