Video of a 7-year-old boy in China escaping after being hit by speeding car goes viral

A video of a boy apparently escaping unscathed after being hit by a speeding car in China's Shandong province has gone viral.

The video was taken on the car's camera. It shows the vehicle travelling at a fast speed on a narrow road, and a boy suddenly coming in its way from the right.

The car hits the boy and he is flung a few metres away from the impact.

The next second, he gets up and starts crying.

A man then runs on to the road and picks him up.

Chinese news site CCTV News reported that the boy is seven years old and that the incident happened in Shandong province in east China. It said the boy was seemingly unhurt.

A video on the news site's Facebook page garnered more than 50,000 views in less than a day.
