Serious diplomacy gave way to a rainbow of colours last night, as leaders (from left) Philippine President Benigno Aquino, New Zealand Prime Minister John Key, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, Mrs Lee and leaders from East Asia Summit countries let down their hair and changed into traditional garb to attend the gala dinner for the 27th Asean Summit in Kuala Lumpur. Decked out in mandarin-collar blazers made from songket - a traditional Malay handwoven silk fabric - from Terengganu, the leaders were treated to a night of performances that ranged from traditional numbers to pop ditties performed by Asean artists.
