Andhra Pradesh leader visiting S'pore

The chief minister of India's south-eastern state of Andhra Pradesh travels to Singapore today to start a two-day visit during which he will discuss the development of a new state capital, Amaravati - a project that the Republic is helping in. Mr Chandrababu Naidu will meet Mr S. Iswaran, Minister in the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister for Trade and Industry and Home Affairs, and give a lecture at the Institute of South Asian Studies.


New HomeTeamNS clubhouse

The HomeTeamNS' Sembawang Clubhouse will be unveiled today. It will feature a variety of new and improved indoor and outdoor facilities for members residing in the north. HomeTeamNS will also announce plans to bring more exciting family-oriented play concepts that will be making their way to its other clubhouses.


New STI line-up from today

The Straits Times Index begins trading with a new line-up today. UOL Group, Yangzijiang Shipbuilding and SATS are now part of the benchmark, replacing Jardine Matheson Holdings, Jardine Strategic Holdings and Olam International. Analysts have praised the makeover as one that will provide a better gauge of market action in Singapore, as it will reflect more freely traded stocks and a more diverse mix of sectors.
