Start of India-China economic dialogue

India and China will hold the fourth round of the Strategic Economic Dialogue (SED) for two days, starting today, to strengthen cooperation in areas such as infrastructure, energy and high-tech products.

This is the first round of the SED to be held in India under the government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Mental health conference kicks off

How the community plays a role in supporting and helping mental health patients, and how awareness of mental health issues can be improved - these are some of the topics to be discussed at a conference starting today.

Called the Asia Pacific Conference and Meeting on Mental Health, it is now in its second edition. The two-day event comes ahead of World Mental Health Day on Monday.

G-20 financial leaders' meeting

Financial leaders of the Group of 20 economies will today commence discussion on the main risks to global economic growth, and ways to clamp down on the secretive ownership of companies that allows for tax avoidance and money laundering. The meeting in Washington will be a working dinner for the ministers and central bank governors before the annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund.
