Modi to lay stone for Amaravati project

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone today for Amaravati - the new capital city of the southern state of Andhra Pradesh - in a boost for the project that is a test of Indian efforts to create world-class urban infrastructure.  It is also the most high-profile collaboration between India and Singapore, which has created the Amaravati masterplan. Minister for Trade and Industry (Industry) S. Iswaran will represent Singapore at the event.

Tackling the grey tsunami

A three-day scientific forum on the Biology of Ageing kicks off today. At the forum, scientists, clinicians and leaders in the field will discuss the grey tsunami which Singapore and most other industrialised countries will have to confront. These experts will discuss biological aspects of ageing and studies on intervention in the ageing process.

Harnessing the digital revolution

McKinsey & Company is hosting today an innovation forum attended by some 200 senior business leaders to advance thought leadership and unveil the latest thinking on how organisations across Asia can harness the full potential of the digital revolution.
