BANGALORE - It was a short tweet, as hacked tweets go.

Around 2am on Dec 12, a message on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Twitter account which has 73 million followers said: "India has officially adopted bitcoin as legal tender. The government has officially bought 500 BTC and is distributing them to all residents of the country… The future has come today!"
