An Indian boy putting out his school books to dry as floodwaters receded in Chennai on Monday. Residents in India's southern Tamil Nadu state are grappling with the aftermath of the devastating floods as the authorities step up relief work, following the worst deluge in decades that killed at least 280 people. A three-man team from Singapore's Corporate Citizen Foundation (CCF) yesterday left for Chennai, taking along relief supplies including water filtration systems, jerry cans and disposable underwear to improve rehydration and hygiene conditions there. CCF is a private-sector initiative that seeks to pool together corporate assets to help vulnerable communities in Asia.
