Indian activists in New Delhi holding a candlelight vigil on Thursday to pay tribute to police horse Shaktiman, which died after being injured during a political rally in Uttarakhand on March 14. The horse was allegedly attacked by a politician and its death triggered outrage. The animal became the subject of a weeks-long row between rival political parties in India after its injured hind leg turned gangrenous and had to be amputated.
