Malaysian actress Michelle Yeoh and her fiance are reportedly stranded in Nepal, following an earthquake that shook the country on Saturday.
On Sunday, world motor sport governing body FIA (Federation Internationale De L'Automobile) released a statement to say that it held its inaugural Asia-Pacific Sport Regional Congress in Nepal's capital Kathmandu, and that members who attended include its president Jean Todt and road safety ambassador Michelle Yeoh.
Yeoh is famous for her co-starring roles in the 1997 James Bond film Tomorrow Never Dies and in 2000's phenomenally successful Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.
The statement added that all members of the FIA party and Congress delegates are safe and accounted for.
"In the coming days, the FIA will investigate the possibility of establishing a fund for charitable donations to be made to the people of Nepal as they attempt to rebuild their lives from this disaster," the statement said.
News site Malaysian Digest, quoting a Chinese entertainment blog, said that the Hollywood actress and her fiance were attending an official function in a hotel when the earthquake struck.
They fled the hotel with other guests and are believed to have escaped uninjured.
