Annual lake clean-up in Nepal

People clearing Phewa Lake in Pokhara, Nepal, a popular tourist destination, of the fast-growing water hyacinth yesterday. Every year, members of the tourism sector take part in the clean-up. The water hyacinth, a free-floating perennial plant, can grow to a height of about 1 m.
