Woman in tudung praised in Malaysia for apparent rescue of injured dog

PETALING JAYA (The Star/Asia News Network) - A video clip showing an Islamic headscarf-wearing woman rescuing an injured dog has gone viral on social media, with netizens praising her efforts.

The 33-second video, which was uploaded to the Malaysia Independent Animal Rescue Facebook page on Monday (March 14), showed the woman in blue jeans, black top and a brown headscarf squatting down to pick up the dog which was lying on the divider of a busy road.

The video, which was recorded by someone in a passing car, showed her carrying the dog and walking away.

The video, which contains no clue to its location, has received over 4,500 likes and 4,591 shares since it was uploaded at 11.20am on Monday.

It also received over 496 comments praising the woman for showing kindness to the injured dog.
