Meeting of Asean defence ministers

The Asean Defence Ministers' Meeting (ADMM) is being held in Subang Jaya, west of Kuala Lumpur, for three days from today, amid disputes over territory in the South China Sea. The gathering will include the Third ADMM-Plus meeting with the theme, "Maintaining regional security and stability for and by the people". ADMM-Plus brings together Asean defence ministers, along with those from Australia, China, India and Japan, among others.


The Peak lauds women game-changers

Luxury lifestyle magazine The Peak will honour 10 women in its annual power list event today.

These game-changers were chosen from sectors that range from banking to architecture and humanitarian work.

They will be recognised for their impact on their respective industries and society as a whole. The selection process for the list began in March this year.


Responsible Business forum kicks off

The fourth annual Responsible Business Forum on Sustainable Development kicks off with more than 500 business leaders, investors and non-governmental organisations attending. The forum will discuss delivering climate action and goals for a better future.

Regional leaders will share their national commitments on reducing greenhouse gas emissions and discuss what this means for business in Asia.
